The main therapy I use for both individual and couple work is Schema Therapy. This is a longer-term treatment that aims to promote a deep understanding of problems and symptoms through exploring one’s early developmental history as well as subsequent long-term effects. The therapy aims to address gaps in early emotional development to build flexible and healthy ways to get core needs met.
Additional modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Family Systems; are included in treatment as appropriate.
