My primary therapeutic approach for both individual and couple work is Schema Therapy. This is a longer-term, depth-oriented therapy that aims to promote a deep understanding of current problems and symptoms by exploring early developmental experiences and their long-term impact. Through this process, therapy focuses on identifying and addressing unmet emotional needs from earlier in life, helping people develop more flexible, healthy, and fulfilling ways of meeting their core emotional needs.
Where appropriate, I also integrate additional evidence-based approaches into treatment, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Family Systems approaches.
I am committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for people of all identities and relationship structures. I welcome and affirm members of the LGBTIQA+ community, neurodiverse individuals, and people in both traditional and non-traditional relationship structures, including polyamorous, open, and other consensually non-monogamous relationships. My approach is grounded in respect, curiosity, and cultural humility, and I strive to ensure that everyone feels seen, supported, and able to bring their full selves into the work we do together.
